Efshar Educator Signature Experiences
January 3, 2023. Annual day of learning and connection. This year’s focus is a dive into play. We will explore the many facets of learning through play. As we move through pandemic times, the timing feels right to revisit this foundational element of early childhood education.
Read More →Save The Date: Pre-Conference Experience open to all educators and school leaders: Monday, December 5th, 5:30pm Virtually.
Attendees will get a sneak peak of this year’s conference with information on sessions, and will be provided with important details and logistics for our day of learning.
Extension of learning opportunities will be crafted in response to popular topics. Sessions will be held in the Spring semester after the conference, and will be tailored to the interests of educators in the network. More information is coming soon.
A series of sessions facilitated by a variety of speakers focusing on different areas of play and learning in young children. Teachers will have opportunities to speak candidly with other educators about their classrooms, materials and observations around play. Each session will focus on a particular age group building from infancy through 5.
Year-Long Selective Cohort Learning Experiences
In the Pedagogical Leaders Community of Practice we will continue to explore the various elements of pedagogical leadership. We will learn through whole group meetings, small partner meetings, one-on-one coaching and complete an action research project.
Read More →Efshar coach Judi Morosohk will co-facilitate this Community of Practice (CoP) in partnership with Meredith Polsky of Matan, a national program supporting Jewish organizations to create and maintain inclusive settings. Focus will be on enhancing inclusion of young children with special needs into our early childhood settings. Participating leaders and educators will receive training, observation and coaching, providing the opportunity for early childhood professionals to strategize, problem-solve and implement best practices for children both with and without special needs and disabilities.

This annual day learning experience for directors and assistant directors focuses upon building leadership skills, strengthening relationships across the network and framing intentions for the upcoming school year.
Read More →The school leaders can engage in meaningful texts, podcasts and articles that we hope will deepen their leadership practices in their schools. This is also a time to deepen relationships with other directors in the network. The leaders will choose a learning group that appeals to them personally and commit to a shared experience of discussion and reflection with their group.
Read More →All school leaders are invited to meet twice a month on Zoom to discuss relevant topics and engage in shared thinking around school leadership. This is a dedicated time for leaders to share challenges, highlights and successes. There will also be time for Efshar to share any updates on advocacy work, answer questions about core programs and offer network support.
Read More →Participants in this group, co-facilitated by coaches Natalie Boscoe and Judi Morosohk, take turns confidentially presenting situations they encounter in their work that they would like to unpack. The group supports them in processing and examining the thoughts, feelings, actions and reactions they have during these interactions with staff and families in order to better understand oneself and grow leadership capacity.
