The Efshar Project

Powering possibilities for Jewish early childhood education in Colorado.

The Efshar Project was created to build Jewish identity and ensure quality early learning experiences at Jewish ECE Centers.

About Us

In 2008, The Efshar Project (formerly known as the Colorado Jewish ECE Initiative) was created to build Jewish identity through increasing access to high quality professional learning experiences. Today, we have expanded our work and refined our core mission.

We work on behalf of the:
  • 11 Jewish early childhood education centers in the Denver/Boulder community
  • Approximately 200 educators
  • Almost 1000 children
  • 850 families that attend our partner early learning centers and preschools

"As a longtime Jewish early childhood educator, I have benefited greatly from personalized professional development support, both through individual and small group learning experiences. The support of The Efshar Project team has helped me gain greater confidence in my abilities and I am now in an Assistant Director role!”
